Their main feature is the L1 double attack, which is slow and easily interrupted. Their range is also poor. A 2h scimitar or PKCS is better for PvP. The main benefit of faith is buffing, which is great for bosses but weak for PvP. The best way to do chip damage in PvP is with infusions rather than buffs. Sellsword Twinblades is straight up better since bleed got nerfed into near-uselessness. There's a bigger problem though; >60 STR/50 DEX Holy hell, fix that garbage. If you're going physical, you'd be far better off going minimum STR requirement and 80 DEX with sharp twinblades. They're probably going for that so they can use any weapon for PvE.

So if you infuse your Sellsword Twinblades with a Sharp gem it can still be upgraded by regular titanite. It'll even retain it's upgrade level. The only thing that Sharp gem changes is the DEX scaling. It increases the DEX scaling so that you do even more damage by leveling DEX.
