(Fix down below) For the past week or so my RCN/Astound internet has been garbage. Some sites will load fine while others won't load at all. I went through all the steps of resetting router, modem, computer, etc. Even had RCN reset my modem on their end to no avail. When you call them they will deny any issues and they try to put the blame on you.You can call and get the price back down. I do every year, in fact I just had to with RCN a couple days ago and managed to get a payment that was $5 less than I had been paying before they, without notice of course, raised my rate by $15. I did this too. Fast forward to this last weekend and RCN is seemingly down for much of IL and IN and I didn't even notice because the TMHI has been working flawlessly. On top of that, in the last week or so it seems like the towers near me got an upgrade as my speed has increased from ~200/20 to ~500/20.After a year of being with RCN near Montrose and Broadway, when things work they're totally fine and acceptable, but we had probably four incidents where the internet was out for three or four days at a time.
