My issue is now when I put the head on and tighten it down to 20 lb/ft. when I slowly turn it over the intake valve starts hitting the piston. I'm 99% sure that's the hemi valve cover on that engine and not the non-hemi one. I know the Tillotson and Ducar 212 engines have a different valve cover than the 212 Predator Hemi too. Looking at the one customer photo that actually shows the engine some, it has the valve cover for the hemi head on it. I searched for weeks to find hemis at harbor freight and after 2 weeks I was told they would have 5 on a Thursday sent my wife to get a couple and we weren't the only ones waiting to get one.Your valve specs on the non-hemi head are outdated. The later non-hemi heads have the same size valves as the hemi, 27mm & 25mm. Because the non-hemi heads are easier to work with, many kart guys are using the hemi bottom end with the non-hemi head in a modified motor.
