The 40 mags feed the 9mm rounds perfectly. Also your hand grip is higher on the Shield than the LC9s, meaning your hand is closer to the barrel axis, so less flip and felt recoil. On the negative side the Shield weighs 3 ounces more, and the Shield is 1/8 inch taller, 1/8 inch longer, and 1/16 inch wider.That and the fact that the Ruger is cheaper and they really don't make a bad product. Not that Canik makes a bad product, but I am more partial to their CZ75 clones. If you want a good, low price firearm, look at the Walther Creed. It runs about the same as a Security 9, holds 16+1 and have a damn fine trigger.
