International 886 problems
Remove the link connecting the two clutch release shafts. Adjust the main clutch to get the correct free travel. With the TA lever ahead, adjust the link so there is 3/16" free travel with the pin installed. Connect the spring and adjust the link between the clutch shafts so there is no free play in the pins.The 86 series IH went to wiring the hi and low switches in parrellel by using a relay. In the earlier series {66} they were wired in series. That made it easier to diagnose. Before replacing low or high switch or the lockout relay, make sure the system is charged so low side pressure is atleast 15-20 pounds.Fix a few tractors too. Posted February 22, 2017. I have a 1086 with the digital tach that had some of the display bars not working and the all of the functions were reading really fast readings. Like 8000 engine rpm! Sent it to Ag Express and as far as I know all they did was replace the display and the front decal.
