Making a free reset applies a penalty to production that lasts until abdication and an increase to the number of excavations required to make a free reset that lasts until reincarnation.

How many excavations do you do at once? I have taken to doing 100 a time at R47, but for the longest time I was just doing buy max. Is there any benefit to doing 10 at a time, or is 100 the same odds for an artifact (generally speaking, ignoring each individual requirement) as doing 10x10?I'm just curious about this. Is there any real penalty or drawback to resetting a excavation early? The only thing it says is that you suffer a 90% penalty to production until you Abdicate, and the cost to reset again will increase. But if you just abdicate after resetting, couldn't you just keep abusing the reset option this way? Or is there a more long-term penalty too?
