Skyrim lost to the ages shard locations

Alright. got my chracter some nice deadric aromour and to get my skills up i was doing some quest before i started the main one i decide to do lost to the ages and i read the book didnt start. went to the place talked to the girl, didnt start, iv tried many other things ...I'm stuck. I've followed the ghost and managed to collect three of the 4 Aetherium Shards by following indivators on the map. Unfortunatley, after collecting shard three, there is no indicator to where the final shard is located. Is this a glitch OR did I miss something signifigant that is causing the location of Shard four not to present itself? Thanks for any insightI had the same issue your fix worked for me. Thank you, I thought I lost a few hours of game play there for a min. Just fast traveled to Hall of Vigilants dropped glowing shards and the copy of Aetherium Wars I found in one of the Dwemer ruins. Picked up the one from Hall of Vigilants read it and quest popped up.
