IMO Blazakin really impacts the difficulty of the game making it a lot easier, i would go for Infernape if i had to choose. Also Infernape is very very good, this isn't taking anything away from him. Ability capsules also make sure that you have the best ability. Or even go for a grass starter if you want an even harder time.Johto: Cyndaquil. Rejuvenation was basically built out of Reborn once upon a time, and you can use their files interchangeably to a degree. If you were to copy the code for Rejuvenation and put it into Reborn, most things would run smoothly, and the amount of work needed is actually pretty small in that regard, I would believe.Now with V13 out, I began a new run and have trouble choosing my starter. I'm mostly inclined towards Torchic, as I've always used him for my Reborn runs. However, I saw people say Mudkip and Fennekin are also very good picks.
