I feel your pain, BudMan5. I have a 1999 JD 345 with 54" deck that I bought new in 1999. The first three years I broke/threaded 24 mower deck belts at about $44.00 ea. I went to my dealer and he sorta half-*** laugh. I told him it wasn't funny when I paid him over $6,000.00 and he didn't tell me I would pay again $6,000.00 for parts.without showing how the belt runs on the snowblower this is not helpful. curtis b : #17 is the drive pulley on the engine, # XXXXX is the adjuster to loosen and tighten the belt. #4 is the only piece that is used to keep the belt in place. The flat pulleys will always go to the back of the belt, the grooved pulleys always to the v side of belt.
