No weights.That D-19 had 16.9X34 rear tires, the biggest difference between a D-17 & D-19 besides the 4 vs 6 cyl engines in the gas tractors was the 19 had bar style rear axles, no little tires like the WD, WD-45, D-17. The 3rd gear popping out of engagement was mostly caused by grinding into gear when shifting from a stop.The thermostats they sell now are correct. Our 8070 and 7060 were both running warmer that they should with re cored and an extra row of tubes in the radiator. Took out those junk thermostat and replaced with the good agco ones and temps came down. Remove the top retaining ring and drive the pin out of the steering shaft. The steering wheel and shaft should then slide out as a unit. On my tractor, it is s hydraulic unit that you use a grease gun on s zero fitting to expand a ram to put tension on the idler arm and put pressure on the units. Everything from the grease zeros to the rams themselves were shot.Our '58 D-14 was one of the tractors that Jack (Ky) mentioned; eliminated the "jumping out of third gear" by adjusting the detents. It could be either the coil or condenser shorting after things heat up. Same thing applies to the fuel supply. as quick as possible after it stops running try draining fuel from the carb.
