Other marks are probably production marks used to coordinate operations within the factory. There is considerable hand work on these revolvers. Also has a 216 near ejector push rod.Just curious on manufacture date and overall build quality of the gun. Attached are some pictures. Thanks!I would guess by the serial that the gun does not have a trigger guard screw (front of the trigger guard). S&W has made millions of them (still in production) starting in 1899. A picture would help with value but depending on location and condition, $250-$400. My friends call me 'M ick'.
