Here, we present a detail microstructural and compositional analysis of well-preserved specimens of the tabulate coral Multithecopora ( Yoh, 1927) in order to establish criteria for detecting a primary or secondary nature of skeletal structures in tabulate corals, as an example of Paleozoic corals.I found this in my creek in middle Tennessee and after researching I think it is tabulata coral? Specifically favosite? Its about 3in/7.62cm long and 1.5in/3.81cm thick.
