Advanced Cell Biology (Formerly 81.442) Description. This is an

Laboratory course emphasizing experimental techniques in cellular biology, cellular physiology, and developmental biology. Students who enter the University Fall 2011 or later are responsible for additional course-based tuition of $300 unless they are already paying differential tuition during the term of course enrollment.The course is designed for majors in the biochemistry and molecular biology, genetics and development, or immunology emphases. (Sp) MCB 102: Survey of the Principles of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology (4 units; Syllabus Fall / Spring) Prerequisites: Biology 1A, Chemistry 3B. A non-majors science course. Students will learn basic biological principles, identify the relevance of science in everyday life, and will understand the scientific method. This course does NOT substitute for BIOL 1406 - Biology I or BIOL 1407 - Biology II for science majors. Offered in Spring, Summer, Fall.
