The Maglock Gen 4 that’s usually sold with the king pin drove me nuts because of clearance issues. And it just didn’t feel like a mil spec mag release to me. I’m not saying that the Gen 4 is a bad solution, just wasn’t for me.Gen 2 is arguably stronger mounted since the screw goes through the shaft (?) of the maglock. The Gen 4 is a tiny set screw holding the entire thing by friction (loctite is a must).
