I like it except for my tanny mount that I custom made. Regardless, most people that I've seen do this swap on an E30 usually goes with the ZF instead of keeping their stock tranny.

So I am in the process of splitting a getrag 260 and so far I got it to split about a 1/4 inch and now there seems to be something causing it to stick. so far I removed all of the rear bolts that hold the case together, I have taken out the reverse switch, the reverse gear shaft retaining bolt and the selector shaft pin. There are three different versions of the Getrag 260 transmission installed behind six-cylinder M20 engines. All three are very similar because they have the same bellhousing bolt pattern and are the same length. That means they can be interchanged relatively easily.
