Always grindet a relic on content. Always cursed like a sailor how annoying the step is. But then at the final cutscene when you see your precious finished relic you pat yourself on your shoulder, maybe flex a bit with it but keep in mind: never again.The instances aren’t even the part that sucks, it’s the goddamn rng fate drops and the 9 challenge books. The fates are annoying cause you have to do them sync’d anyway and the books are just really tedious hoping the right fate spawns and killing enemies all over eorzea 9 times in a row. The stories you hear of people stocking up on relic mats are working on 2nd and beyond relics. The first time you have to get them as you unlock them. If you are first starting then you should be able to start with the unidentified stuff, you will need 10 each of them.
