Im having trouble with the key fob for my 2019 SR5. I replaced the headlight bulbs with LED upgrades from Las Fit. Then it seemed like almost immediately the key fob stopped working. I replaced the battery then it worked fine for a bit, then didn't intermittently. "Unlock" button on mine was working intermittently until I took out the circuit board out of the FOB and cleaned printed circuit where the backside of the rubber buttons make contacts. If your door lock motors are worn/tired, they won't be able to lock/unlock to complete the programming sequence. The security computer can sense if the door is locked or unlocked, so it won't program if one of them won't lock/unlock. You can rebuild the actuators for about 20-30 bucks in parts.
