Honda rincon 680 problems
Ok i know this is a old thread but i would like to add that i would stay clear of a Honda Rincon 650/680 there transmissions are junk our local Honda dealer even recommends to buy the rubicon and says the rincons are terrible. ok i know this is just my opinion and others im not trying to flame but when you pay that much for a four wheeler and the thing grinds putting into gear and has shifting ...One of the most commonly reported issues among Honda Rincon 680 riders is the failure to reach the top speed. Its behind the fronr right side inner fender, take it off and tilt it until it shuts the quad off. I think the angle is almost 70 degrees before its suppose to shut off. Now if you want an edge on the Grizzly ... It was completely worn and needs replacing. I am going to replace the cam chain and the oil pump drive chain. Being a Honda mechanic many years ago, it just doesn't make sense that a 2000 mile machine should need a cam chain. The newer 680 engine has a different cam chain and tensioner, so hopefully the early cam chain failure has been fixed.Minden day 2, Honda Rincon had problems. The second day of our May 24 adventure.
