Ameraucana chickens do best when they have a large yard, especially so they can do a little flying and foraging. In large flocks they tend to be nervous, and in mixed flocks they tend to be more friendly and get along well with other breeds. They do especially well in tiny flocks and grow extremely friendly with one-on-one time.The Blue and Splash are based on Black. Black is dominant over Birchen. So in theory you should get Blue and Black from the Blue hens and all Blue from the Splash.
