Once you have the quest, one of the steps is to get a score of 225k or higher in a single run of Dares. This is possible on normal mode, but easier on legend difficulty.

In order to craft some weapons, you have to unlock their weapon pattern. To do that, you have to randomly find that weapon (i.e. get a weapon drop from an activity or engram) and that weapon has to randomly drop with "Deepsight".
