I concluded (before disassembly) that it was both the pinch sensor and the DFI assemble causing me trouble so in a Hail Mary I tried to fix both problems in one go. On my litter robot I found and removed 9 screws from the underside of the base to access the electronics within the base.My first litter robot was purchased back in 2016 and a few years back had the same issue with the pinch sensor.
