Ford 3000 tractor problems.
Hi All, I have a Ford 3000 that has developed some hydraulic issues over the last couple of years. From the many threads I've read on this subject this is not an uncommon thing. We have owned this tractor for over 20 years. It doesn't do much work, gets the minimum of maintenance and unfortunately lives in the damp British outdoors.

I thought that the woodruf key may have been broken or worn, but a check shows that this is ok. 3) Add a full qt (liter for you metric types) of a diesel rescue product like Diesel 911 or similar. 4) Heat the intake / engine. Block heater or even a hair dryer going across the intake manifold for 15 - 30 minutes. If you didn't run dry, you shouldn't have to bleed the injectors. Hope you get it running.

Apr 30, 2015 · The Ford 3000 that I have on the farm had a problem with the power steering. There is one small leak but it is very minimal, but I seem to keep losing the oil. I took the pump off and disassembled it. There seems to be quite a bit of play in the shaft (22) and the front of the pump (29) where the large gear is that runs on the front of the engine. Aug 21, 2021. #1. I am going to replace the thermostat in my 3000 when I flush it out. The I & T shop manual says use a 188 degree thermostat with 7psi radiator cap. The book also says I can go with a 160,168, or 178 degree thermostat but 188 is recommended. YT sells a 168 and 172 thermostat with a 13psi radiator cap.New User. Nov 1, 2015. #1. The lift on the 3000 goes uo just fine except it slowly falls down after a few minutes even with the tractor running, I checked the Hydro Fluid and added about two quarts. When I press the pedal about 1" or 2" from the floor I can change the gears (with pto running). The pto stops with the pedal all the way to the floor as normal and I can change gears.

Pull the starter and visually inspect if there are missing ring gear teeth. Starter cables should not get warm unless starter is locked. Currently there is malfunction. Motor will not start. Could anybody help me identify a source of problem? Starter failure - Change or refit. Clogging in the fuel line - Flush and clean the fuel pipe. There is dirt in the fuel filter - Replace it.
