I just checked and the rifleman perks increase the damage on a plasma rifle with the flamer mod. I suppose it might depend on what attachments you have on it. I changed the flamer attachment to automatic barrel and the automatic rifle perks increased it's damage. I didn't see any attachment for an automatic flamer mod.Plasma Cutter Is Insane! The plasma gun works like this: - Standard and Bruising stocks count as pistol, all others count as rifle. - Any barrels with "Automatic" in the name will use the automatic weapon perks. You may not get to shoot enemies often enough to kill them, but my two shot plasma caster has ridiculous spread. Even from 10 feet away it's already hard to hit enemies with both projectiles. Since it seems to be targeted for longer range combat, two shot really works too much against it. 3.Plasma caster for sniping and ammo conservation and then the gauss mini for crowds. I’ve been dumping caps into bulk lead and picking up weights to scrap for lead. The ammo isn’t that hard to make since it requires only five lead and I think 15 steel.
