You need to refresh your Touch Bar: Go to Activity Monitor on your Mac- search for 'TouchBar Server' and quit it by clicking on the 'x' on the top left. Also, quit 'Control Strip'. There is also a shortcut to perform these tasks from the terminal. Copy & paste: Step 1: Click on the "Start Button" and then select the "Settings". Step 2: In the settings window that appears, click on "Update & Security" and select "Recovery" in the left pane. Step 3: Go to "Advanced Startup" and then select "Restart Now". They then advised me to update to Mojave 10.14.4 (I was on 10:14.2) and report back after the bank holiday. Then, connect it to a charger while in the switched-off state.
