Jan 27, 2021 · Rarely used and two and a half years old. I assume it died because of me force-relaunching Finder during the copy cancelation but I'm surprised the drive could be fully dead as opposed to just losing the data. The forced relaunch may have corrupted the data but it shouldn’t have irreparably damaged the drive.
