That was a bug. But you can still do it with 3 players in the Preservation mission. I've done it after the patch, as have clan mates. You need 2 people to stand in front of the 2 symbols shown under the Enter actions while the 3rd player interacts with the symbol shown under Commune then shoots the symbol shown under the Kill action.I'm 5 for 5 weapons so far, I think. My Warlock got a 1554 chest piece and my Hunter got a 1554 grenade launcher yesterday so it drops both armor and weapons. Thanks for the confirmation.
