Its really just personal preference. You shouldnt consider gears unless you are considering 37" tires. I believe that you will get better mpg with 35s and stock gears vs 35s and 4.88.

I have the desert sand tundra, so it's hard to find combo's out there from people doing much with them, so I save pictures when I find them. I think you could go with the 4" or 6" lift and be fine with the 35's. The 4" would probably be my choice, but just try searching for alot of "tundra's with 35's" and go from there to see the different setups.
