Please read the part about the correct "feel" to get '0' lash. Adjusting Hydraulic Lifters On Small Block Chevrolet This method is with the engine OFF and spark plugs removed for easier rotation.In the case of the original small-block Chevy, the stock rocker-arm ratio is 1.5:1. This means that the lift generated by the cam lobe is multiplied by 1.5 times when delivered to the valve. Therefore, a cam with a .400-inch lobe lift would theoretically create 0.600 inches of lift at the valve.
